Adolescent Therapy.

As their minds and bodies develop quickly, many t(w)eens find adolescence to be some of the most challenging years of their lives. Our therapists teach healthy ways to navigate this important, emotionally intense time.

4 Ways Therapy Can Help.

Develop Insight.

Whether it’s approaching life with more confidence, coping with stress in healthier ways or building stronger friendships, we ask our teen clients to focus on the life they wish to have and then work together on strategies for making that happen.

Empower Changes.

We provide guidance, strategies and skills to help teens make successful changes. We give them a safe place to dream, plan and try something new as well as to share disappointments, struggles, and frustrations when they face obstacles or setbacks.

Encourage Self-Reflection.

We help teens look inward and think honestly about their values and priorities. This reflection empowers teens to formulate the best foundation for their therapeutic process.

Discover Strengths.
We look at how the teen has successfully managed difficult situations in the past and how they can apply those strengths to their current situation.

What to Expect from Adolescent Therapy.

As specialists in all things teen, our primary goal is to help tweens and teens find a safe space to explore feelings, identify new ways to understand and solve problems, and develop healthy coping skills to deal with the challenges of daily life.

At Clinical Insights we believe that experience truly matters when working with young people. As seasoned clinicians we combine decades of experience to make sure adolescents and their unique perspectives are the focus of treatment.

Typically teens attend weekly 50-minute therapy sessions; however, we can accommodate adolescents who need more in-depth help twice a week. Usually, teen counseling sessions continue for at least three months and up to one year. The exact duration of counseling depends on the complexity of your teen’s concerns and we will discuss the recommended length of therapy in session. There are certain sessions parents and adolescents will attend together and other times where the parents or teen will meet alone with the therapist. This allows our youth therapists to get an accurate picture of the problem and helps the entire family reap the benefits of counseling.

To understand ourselves and our life is the point of insight meditation: to understand and to be free.
